Moving to a new city is tough. I arrived in Pune for my job and spent the first few weekends alone. I love trekking, but going to places like Sinhagad or Lohagad alone isn't as fun (or safe). That's when I stumbled upon Spur.
The First Experience
I opened the map and saw a pin near Vetal Tekdi: "Sunday Morning Sunrise Trek 🌄". It was happening the next day. I felt a bit nervous but sent a join request. Within minutes, the host, Anjali, approved it and added me to the group chat.
The Trek
We met at 6 AM. The group was a mix of students and working professionals. Everyone was verified, which made me feel at ease. We had an amazing time, shared chai at the top, and clicked tons of photos.
The Verdict
Since then, I've joined five more Spurs and even hosted a "Street Food Walk" in Camp. If you are hesitant about using a social app, take it from me: Spur is different. It's real people, real activities, and genuine connections.
